Crossing food, cultures, and memories
Food Lab Studio launches Kitchen Talks, a new series of food workshops at Lokaal 432 exploring the connections between food, culture, history, and sustainability. The series creates informal, welcoming culinary experiences where cooking and eating together become a starting point for shared stories, dialogue, and exchange.
For each gathering, selected guest chefs—artists and cultural practitioners from around the world—will share a recipe and invite participants to prepare a dish collectively. The shared meal becomes a space for conversation around their work, personal experiences, and the social or cultural themes they bring into the neighborhood.
From early February 2026, one gathering per month will take place with small groups of 15–20 participants. These are not formal events, but convivial social occasions designed to connect IJburg residents, Lokaal 432 co-workers, and the wider Amsterdam community through food, collective cooking, and storytelling.
